Hey everyone, so we have the Christie Cup this wednesday from 2-5pm at Manchester Climbing Centre 
This big triangular comp between Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool has taken place every year since 1886, and after the Oxford-Cambridge rivalry is the oldest inter-uni competition on the sporting calendar. The universities take turns hosting the Cup and this year is Manchesters turn and moreover this is the first time climbing has been a competing sport. Overall Manchester hasn’t lost to Leeds or Liverpool since the 90′s so lets keep the tradition going!
Only 2 teams will be competing from each university; that is, one team of 3 boulderers, and one team of 3 routers.

The competition will take place this wednesday, YES THIS WEDNESDAY!! (3rd) from 2-5 at MCC and will take place downstairs so it will be open to people who want to spectate.
It would be great if people can come down to support those competing, and even better if there is anyone who will voulenteer to marshall the event or belay the leaders. For the marshalling all we need are people who can watch and score the boulderers. For those belaying we need anyone competent in lead belaying (preferably with a gri gri)
